What makes KAYT different?

1. The cast of performers is open only to youth -- 4K to outgoing 8th graders.

2. If you try out, we will find a part that fits.

3.  Depending on the role, there might be some potential minimal costs for costumes, but we will work with you if that's an issue.

4.  While most of our performers are from Kiel, we've had several from New Holstein, Plymouth, and other areas, even relatives visiting for the summer from out of state! Also, whether you go to public, private, parochial, or home school, you are eligible to participate in KAYT.

NOTE: Stage crew often includes some middle school students; high school students (often KAYT alumni); and adults

COSTUMES

Please ask if you have any questions about what you need to get or if you need help getting part of your base costume.  Families provide the base costume and KAYT provides the rest.

 PRACTICES

Bring to practice:
  • water bottle
  • pencil
  • script if you have one
  • tennis shoes
  • something to read or do if you have a little downtime between scenes
  • a small snack

Arrival: Cast needs to get a nametag and check in with the attendance monitor.

Pickup at end of practice:
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the end time of rehearsal for pick up
  •  The cast needs to return nametags and have an adult check them out with the attendance monitor before leaving.

Please check your email weekly as announcements and updates will come for various items.  You will also see sign-ups for volunteer opportunities each month.  We cannot make this happen without volunteers.  It is expected that you sign up for something each month.  New opportunities will arise each month.  You do not need to be an expert at something to volunteer.
