Thank you once again to everyone who auditioned. Our cast list is now finalized!

Parents: Please make sure your mandatory documents are complete by the 1st rehearsal, including the mandatory requirement to view/attend the parent meeting. If you haven't fulfilled that yet, please click here to be redirected to the parent resource page of KAYT where you will find all the forms needed in order to begin rehearsals and a link to the parent meeting webinar.

Scripts:

If you are still in need of a script or music CD with all show music, please click HERE.

If you placed an order at auditions, your name has already been added.
This is our final script order of the season.  ORDERS WILL BE TAKEN UNTIL SATURDAY APRIL 21, AT 5:00 pm.

Preparation:

Please help your child ride the wave of their recent enthusiasm by encouraging them to study their script for 20 minutes a day between now and May 14.  Once rehearsals start they are BUSY BUSY and some have exhausting hours between summer activities, summer school, and the scheduled rehearsals. Finding time and energy to study outside of rehearsal can be difficult. If they study up now in these small 20 minute increments we'll be way ahead come 5/14.

Costuming:

So now everyone knows who they are playing. Parents, if you have any questions regarding the costume plot please let me know via email to heather.winter@kayt.org.

Volunteers:

We always need more! Please let us know how you can best help.

Schedule:

Conflicts are now locked and loaded! Alternates have been assigned. Please print and highlight the rehearsal schedule for your kiddos. I recommend two colors, one for each role, if they have two parts. Make sure to look at who is called for each song! Squirrels are also in Candyman, for instance. Cooks are also in Golden Age of Chocolate, etc etc.

MailChimp notifications:

It has come to our attention that some interested parents are left off the list, though they have been on the list in the past. Each show we have to rebuild our list! :) This year we took the emails from the signup genius, so whomever signed up for auditions should already be on the list and receiving this email. If anyone additional in your household needs to be on the list, please send us that email address you would like to be added.  Please send an email to info@kielayt.org with the name and correct email address for those you would like added to our email list.
Many Thanks,
Heather Winter
KAYT Director, Summer 2018

Meet our 2018 Production Staff!

We're so excited to have assembled a talented and experienced production staff for our 2018 show, "Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr." Here's a look at our crew that will be leading the way this coming summer...

Director - Heather Winter

We are very excited to have Heather back with us again for another KAYT production this summer as our director!  Heather is a graduate of New Holstein High School and recently relocated back to the area after living in Minneapolis and Chicago. She holds a Musical Theater Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rockford College and has experience working with children in the arts with such companies as the YMCA, Northern Lights Playhouse, CLIMB theatre, and more. In Minneapolis & Chicago, Heather performed as an actress, singer, and director for the past 17 years. She was the KAYT Production Stage Manager last year, and is now leading us as our director for the 2018 show. Heather has one son, a second grader at Zielanis; her husband, Jason, works at Kohler Co.
Welcome back Heather!  We're glad to have you!

Music Director - Christine Clements

We are thrilled to welcome back Christine Clements as our music director!  She has been an elementary music specialist for over 14 years. She graduated from Lakeland College in 2003 with a triple degree in General, Choral, and Instrumental Music Education grades kindergarten through high school. Christine has also completed some graduate work through Silver Lake College in their Kodaly Program and hopes to complete her Masters in Music or Ethnomusicology.

Mrs. Clements first began her involvement in theatre and music in high school, participating in musicals as well as joining the Kiel Municipal band. While in college, she continued participating in theatre productions alongside her music studies. She acted played roles in some plays, but also really enjoyed backstage roles.

Besides teaching music at Zielanis Elementary School, Christine enjoys being involved in many areas of the community including Kiel Municipal Band, Kiel Area Youth Theatre, and Girls Ministries at her church. She also enjoys being a mom and helping her husband home-school their three children. In her free time, Christine enjoys reading, walking, swimming, biking, and baking. Above all else, Christine loves working with children. She finds their excitement and energy most contagious!
We're so glad to have you back with the KAYT again Christine!

Choreographer - Jessica Schrage

We are happy to have Jess back for her third KAYT production as our choreographer!  Jess and her husband have 3 kids.  Jess is a registered dietitian nutritionist, working casually at this time. Most of the time Jess much enjoys being home with their youngest munchkin. Aside from spending precious time with her family, Jess is still an active performer herself, having performed in various music revues and musicals since her college days, as well as assisting choreograph on occasion. Jess was most recently music director and choreographer for the KAYT children who performed with the Pankratz Arts Exchange for their Christmas production in December of 2017.
Welcome back Jess!  We are so glad you're with us for another summer!
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to this talented crew as we look forward to our 2018 production!
