Dear Parents,

With everything going on in the nation right now, KAYT wants to be supportive of all the changes and unknowns that everyone is dealing with.  We are putting our production on hold with the understanding that if the current situation lifts, we will move forward with a plan that works for both our students and the KAYT organization.  We have discussed options as a group and because there are too many unknowns, we are not comfortable with putting anything in stone or making a decision in haste.  Please know that we want what's best for all involved.  As soon as we can make a definitive decision, you will be notified.   Until then, please encourage your child to enjoy their script, listen to the score, and be supportive of each other.

In addition, we wouldl like to remember the many local businesses that have supported KAYT throghout the years.  If and when possible, please consider supporting them during this difficult time.

Most students have Google Hangouts through their school emails/accounts. Feel free to reach out to your fellow cast members and sing some songs, run an impromptu scene, tell each other jokes, or just connect to check in on each other.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Be Well,

Meet our 2020 Production Staff!

We're so excited to have assembled a talented and experienced production staff for our 2020 show!

Here's a look at our crew that will be leading the way this coming summer...

Director - Melissa Ebert

Meet Melissa!

Melissa Ebert began dancing when she was 2. She danced all through high school and then found ways to grow her passion.  While at Marquette University, Melissa performed and choreographed for a Hip Hop Troupe called Hype.  She was a choreographer for the annual Fashion Show Fundraiser and graduated with a minor in dance.

After graduation, Melissa became an instructor for Kaleidoscope Dance Studio from 2004-2013 teaching tap, ballet, jazz, and hip-hop. She returned to KDS in 2018 and really enjoys sharing her love of dance with the KDS dancers and families.

In the 13 years that Melissa has been a teacher at Chilton Middle School, she also choreographed 16 middle school and high school musicals.

Last year was the first year that Melissa joined the KAYT family as a choreographer.  This year, Melissa is joining the production team as the director.  She is very excited to make her directing debut with an organization that she believes showcases our community youth in such a positive way.
